Confidence is not something people either have, or don’t have, (such as having blue eyes, for example). It is an attitude of mind that is built up (or knocked down) over many experiences, and most people find that their self-confidence rises and falls quite a bit throughout life, depending on how well, or how badly, things are going for them generally.
However, our confidence is also affected by the way others treat us, and especially how others react to our efforts to succeed in just about anything, great or small. This process begins when we are infants, and it never really ends, because human beings never stop seeking approval from others.
Whether a person has had a life-long confidence problem, or has had their confidence knocked by negative developments in their life, or worn down by criticism or abuse from others, hypnosis is an excellent method for dealing with the problem, because self-esteem is part of the subconscious mind, which is why conscious attempts to address the issue have little effect. Hypnosis is the fastest and most effective way of communicating with the subconscious mind, where all of those emotions surrounding this issue are based. The subconscious is always very easy to work with, very helpful; but you must be able to communicate with it effectively, and trance-work is the only way to do that.
In truth, people who feel held back by their “lack of confidence” tend to over-estimate how confident other people really are. They assume others are actually as confident as they appear to be – but hardly anyone would privately claim that they have plenty of self-confidence, and couldn’t do with a bit more. Redressing this balance between self-perception and how you perceive others also helps to get rid of feelings of inadequacy and hostility, and replace that with a more profound awareness of the vulnerability of others, which at the same time raises your confidence in yourself.

Choosing a program
Your choice of personalized program may depend upon the magnitude of the challenge you are facing, the degree of self-discipline you have, and the amount of follow-up support you might want. All the programs start with a full session, which lasts about 2-3hours, and all programs instruct you in self-hypnosis and provide you with one or more CDs for use at home. Some people find a single session is all they need to get the result they want. Others may wish a program that also includes weekly and or monthly tune-up sessions and additional homestudy CDs. These tune-up sessions are generally about 1 hour in length.

Although a person’s lack of confidence can appear on the surface to be a complex and quite individual issue, the basis is not at all complicated, and it is often very rewarding to see how hypnosis can cut right to the heart of it very effectively, enabling people to socialise much more comfortably and successfully.
Note: Confidence therapy is available in one-to-one sessions, or group sessions. A group session is anything from two to four persons (maximum), so it is always a comfortably small group! If you opt for one-to-one therapy, you may also, if you wish, bring along another person (only one!) just to accompany you, if you’re feeling nervous or just need a bit of moral support. It is rare for people to do this, actually, but we like to accommodate everybody’s needs, insofar as it is possible.
